Southern Weekend of Art is set for 2021! Mark your calendars – October 29-31 – for a weekend of shopping artisanal goods and crafts from all over the region and of course, a stage lineup of some tremendous local talent.
Arts vendors bring such a variety of creations to our beloved Stone Bridge Park, from woodworking to sewn crafts, edible arts, metalworking, turkey calls… hula hooping, candles, pottery, jewelry… the list just goes on! It really is amazing to see what folks can create – if you’re like us, you’ll be ready to drop a lot of dollars to take some of these special items home! SWOA is a perfect event to do some gift shopping. Think about the smile on your loved ones’ faces when they open a unique painting or custom t-shirt or cutting board on Christmas day!
Let’s talk lineup… All weekend long, the stage will host a variety of talent including an Open Mic scene Friday evening featuring performances from all ages. Saturday is very family-friendly with entertainment geared for kids in the daytime and appealing to grownups as the day turns to night. We’ll have StrongMan Storytelling and Magicians performing before Just for Clicks takes the stage for a clogging show. On into the afternoon, we’ll host the Art, Music & Dance Scholarship Awards Show before the headlining band performs to end the night.
We definitely will have our funtastic KidZone open all weekend with inflatable fun, face-painting, t-shirt tie-dying and more! There is a small admission for the KidZone and each activity will have a cost associated.
General Admission to Southern Weekend of Art is free. Vendors setting up do pay a booth fee.
If you have questions or would like to participate in the local Open Mic scene on Friday the 29th, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
