Scholarships

Art, Music & Dance Scholarships Available!

The Fayetteville-Lincoln County Arts Center, Inc. and the Fayetteville Rotary Club are accepting applications for the 5th annual Scholarships – art, music and now dance opportunities! Scholarships are open to 9th-12th grade students in Lincoln County plus any student who graduated in 2020-2021 as scholarships were postponed due to the pandemic.

Each category—art, music, dance—are separate and will be awarded prizes as shown below. Students can submit separate applications for multiple categories for scholarships. To encourage competition, the Arts Center reserves the right to limit a student who submits applications for multiple scholarships to a single first place award.

Previous scholarship winners may apply again, but all new material must be submitted. No resubmissions will be accepted in this year’s competition; this includes the student’s essay. The student’s biography may be reused, but we would expect to see some mention of their scholarship award in that biography.

Please Note: Students under 18 must have the Parental Consent signed/submitted to qualify.

Student Information

The Scholarships were the idea of Melanie Laten, a local art teacher and the owner of Laten House Bed & Breakfast and the Little Laten House Oz Tea Room located on Washington Street in Fayetteville. Funds for the scholarships are provided by the Arts Center and the Fayetteville Rotary Club. Additional funds may be raised throughout the year through fundraising events and community donations.
